Carmen Rooms is a boutique B&B perched on Nerja’s coast, offering family rooms with private baths, air‑conditioning, free WiFi, and balconies overlooking gardens, pools, or mountains. Guests enjoy a sun terrace, open‑air bath, bar, year‑round pool, lounge, outdoor seating, and bicycle parking. Daily continental breakfast features local pastries, cheese, fruit, and juice. A 7‑minute walk leads to Burriana Beach, Balcony of Europe, and Playa Carabeo, while Malaga Airport lies 69 km away.

The room was beautifully arranged and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve had on the whole trip; we felt at home right away. The reception staff were very friendly and even handed us the key earlier than expected. The cleanliness of the rooms and the location of the B&B deserve special mention, and we were able to use the on‑site pool. It’s great that you can park for free on the street in front of the house. Communication was excellent and the check‑in process was explained very clearly. If the owners knew we needed breakfast earlier, they could have put together a small breakfast package for us. Tip: let them know at check‑in at the latest if you need to eat before 9 am. The downside was that breakfast is only served from 9 am onward, which we only found out after checking in—probably it’s indicated somewhere but I missed it. Because of this, breakfast didn’t fit into our schedule as we had to return our rental car. The house is a bit older, so you can hear people in the breakfast room and the stairwell (talking and the coffee machine). We were already awake, so it wasn’t a problem. All in all, we’d come back and plan a longer stay.

The location is lovely, the breakfast is very tasty, the staff are friendly and sweet, the room is beautiful, the pool area is nice, and the views are great. On the downside, there’s no tea or coffee in the room; you can get it for free in the communal area, but I prefer a private cup before getting ready. The bed isn’t overly comfortable.
