Laurence and Gilles were very welcoming, and we felt comfortable almost immediately. The apartments are simple but pleasant, and the location is excellent—close to the city center and the entertainment. They also gave great advice on activities and places to visit in Bayeux.

The hosts are exceptionally warm and helpful. The house is a cozy oasis right in the middle of the city, and the old town center is easily reachable on foot.

The host’s reception, the location, and the informal character were all positive. Nothing else; we only knew the room was on the first floor.

The location is near everything, the garden is beautiful, and the hosts are friendly. Water is provided in the bedroom. Unfortunately, it was very hot with no fan or air conditioning, and the heavy bedcovers left no pillows—just cushions on the bed. There was no key for the bedroom door, and the bathroom was not en‑suite, which was disappointing. We didn’t have breakfast because the €12 charge for a coffee and croissant seemed a bit high; we could easily get that at a patisserie on the way to see the Bayeux Tapestry. We didn’t see the hosts in the morning but left the €10 that we may have owed.
