The small park in nature was lovely and the staff helpful, but the price‑to‑quality ratio was poor, the bedding felt synthetic and uncomfortable, nearby amenities were limited, communication was difficult because staff didn’t speak English, and a stray dog from the resort was badly infested with pests (scabies?) which was unpleasant.

We didn’t stay long, but the place was clean, simple, friendly, and well‑located; we slept very well and the hosts were very kind. The lack of daylight was an issue because the only window had no glass or screen (to keep mosquitoes out) and we couldn’t open it because of the air‑conditioner, so it would have helped to install glass so the window could be opened and daylight could enter.

It was great for a night before heading to Cheow Lan Lake. Breakfast included toast with fried eggs, fresh orange juice, and fresh fruit. However, each of us received two eggs with a raw yolk, which we don’t eat. It was a waste of the eggs and the effort to cook them. If we had been asked, we would have said we don’t eat them, and the toast we had was still fine.
