Located in the Rothaargebirge nature park near Schmallenberg, Hotel Jagdhaus Wiese is a 4-star family-run hotel offering elegant rooms with modern bathrooms and satellite TV. The hotel features an indoor swimming pool, a large breakfast buffet, and Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy local and seasonal cuisine in the restaurant, relax in the sauna, sanarium, and steam room, or work out in the fitness centre.

A luxurious country house in the middle of nature, a very spacious room, a beautiful wellness area, an extensive breakfast buffet, and tasty food in the evening. No complaints.

The hotel sits on a quiet, secluded hill that’s perfect for hikers, and the staff, rooms and food all came highly recommended. The wellness area impressed me with both indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna and a comfortably padded lounge area inside; the indoor pool water was warm and the whirlpool was likewise inviting. Free coffee, tea, still and sparkling water were available, and the outdoor seating spots felt cozy. The only downside was that the hot‑lunch menu was limited to pasta, with only ice cream, cake and cherry‑cream waffles as alternatives, so we would have liked a broader selection of warm dishes. Because the property is quite remote, you really need a car if you want to explore nearby shops or other attractions.
