The location was quiet and close to the S-Bahn, yet the mattresses were too thin, curtains for blackout would have been handy, and the kettle was broken.

Everything looked new and very clean, but it felt like sleeping in an office: no hangers or rail for clothes, no bin for room rubbish, and the bedside lights were unusable because all sockets were under the window. Better arrangements for sharing the shower would help, and a spare toilet roll would have been extremely useful when the ones left were used or ran very low. There was also a room with a sink that could have offered a kettle and microwave for guests.
