“Would not choose this hotel again.”

The breakfast and afternoon cocktail hour were nice, but there was no hot water and the staff gave mixed and vague answers. They downplayed the problem and offered excuses, and the response to the hot‑water issue was poor. We were there for a wedding and needed to get ready, so the lack of hot water made the experience very unpleasant.

This hotel was an amazing place to stay. The garden and surroundings were beautiful and our room was spacious. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

“Nice place but not up front about fees.”

The location was good. When booking online we specifically searched for a pet‑friendly place, and the site advertised the hotel as pet‑friendly with no mention of a fee. At check‑in I gave my card for incidentals as usual, and we had our dog on a leash with us. No one mentioned a fee. After we left, we discovered we were charged $90 for a pet fee. No discussion of this cost upfront, and we were shocked. I called to speak with the manager, but the front desk said the manager wasn’t available and would have them call me; I never received a return call. Our pet did no damage—just a little hair, and the linens are presumably washed between stays. From now on we’ll only stay at places that are upfront about costs.

“Room and surroundings nice.”

Breakfast was great, and the rooms were nice and clean. We had no A/C in the bedroom for both nights, so it was so hot we barely slept.
