The breakfast was amazing.

The location is brilliant, right in a gorgeous town just a short walk from pubs, shops, and more. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was great, though another comment mentioned that a second sausage might be nice. The shower water pressure was sublime! The room was spacious, but the bed was only average and everything felt a bit worn and dated, needing a refresh; still, for the price it was acceptable.

The breakfast was amazing—Butcher’s sausage, juicy mushrooms, beans, toast, bacon—one of the best full English breakfasts I’ve had this year. Suzie was super helpful and happy to chat in the mornings, while Louise and the team handled evenings with care and warmth. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the shower had great pressure and was very clean, and Wi‑Fi was easy to connect to. The built‑in wardrobe had plenty of space for clothes. One evening I dined with a friend and the fish platter with sides was outstanding; every bite was a treat. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Honestly, nothing was bad, just a slight improvement could be more hangers in the wardrobe, but that’s very minor and I could have brought my own.

It was decent—a passable hotel, I stayed one night. Parking was good and the room decor was pretty good. However, it was overpriced; I can’t believe they charge the same as a Hilton. The shower pressure was pitiful, stopping mid‑shower, and traffic noise was a 6/10. A rubbish truck stopped outside my window and flashed inside my room like a nightclub at 6:30 am (wish I could upload the video). There was no shampoo or conditioner, no water bottles, and the room door rattled badly whenever someone passed by the corridor door. I could have dealt with all these issues if it had been priced appropriately.

What a really nice place. The host was fantastic—I couldn’t have asked for better. The food in the restaurant was superb.
