The place is close to Ilmenau and the Festhalle, and the owners really try hard to keep the rooms clean. Even though there were booking hiccups, I got an extra bed and the sofa‑bed was taken away. The view was pretty good, but I couldn’t use the existing blinds, which is just a bit of high‑level whining.

The accommodation is set in a very picturesque spot with a very friendly owner. There’s coffee and tea, plus a kettle and a coffee machine – basically everything you need. Highly recommended; we’ll book again next year. The Wi‑Fi, however, is terrible.
