The value was excellent and the location unbeatable; we had plenty of towels, clean sheets and covers for the two beds and the pull‑out couch, Wi‑Fi worked fine, the furniture was in good shape, and the staff were quick and friendly at check‑in and check‑out. The building is old and that shows everywhere, which is disappointing, and while the kitchen was nice and clean I wasn’t sure the plates and cutlery had been fully washed when we arrived.

We were right next to Skaha Lake and had a kitchenette that had enough dishes and other supplies to serve brunch for four people; the only downside was that the hot water ran out in the morning and I had to wait before I could wash dishes, and the parking wasn’t ideal for a pick‑up, though we managed to swap spots and it worked out.

We stayed at the Waterfront Inn for the second time and it was just as great as our first visit. The spot is fantastic – right across the park from the beach – and it’s very quiet both day and night. Ground‑floor guests get a table for four outside with an umbrella and chairs, while upstairs guests have a smaller table with two chairs. The rooms feel like they’re straight out of the 80s, but they’re spotless and everything works. Amanda at the front desk was wonderful and even more cheerful than a 5‑star hotel staff would be! The only downside: if you plan to cook, bring your own salt, pepper, and paper towels.
