I stayed for a herbal medicine course nearby. The building is lovely and well‑located. The food was beautifully prepared – I had the classic burger and the black chicken curry, which was yum; others also praised the curries/food. The staff were helpful and friendly. The host was friendly and welcoming right from the start. The room had a soft mattress and duck‑down feather pillows for a comfortable night’s sleep. The intimate bathroom was clean and the hot water was perfect for a shower after a day out. The food was truly out of this world: the starters were flavorful, passionately presented, and set the stage for the main course, which only got better. Each bite was a delight; the steak was cooked exactly how I requested – tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The home‑cooked chips were crispy, fluffy, and well‑seasoned, and even the salad, which I usually skip, came with a tasteful dressing that made it impossible to refuse. The dessert was so beautifully presented that I couldn’t stop myself from devouring it before my partner could snap a photo – pure delight from start to finish. Breakfast, which had to be a full English, was identical to the night‑time meal – tasty, cooked just right, and vanished quickly. The drink selection, both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic, was great, and the décor was perfect for its location, complete with an open fire to finish it all off. We’ll definitely come back. Nothing was wrong; everything was perfect.

The toilet in the room didn’t work, but I was told about this upon arrival. I managed to handle the inconvenience because there was a water container under the basin.

I found great value, a lovely spot, and the staff were very friendly. I’d happily return, and they also offer a solid selection of local beers.
