“A peaceful, charming stay with wonderful hosts.”
We absolutely loved our stay here. The property was beautiful, charming and spotlessly clean, and the traditional trulli made it feel incredibly special. We particularly loved learning about the history of the property, including how the area where the pool now sits was once used for crushing grapes to make wine, which was then historically stored in the trulli. It gave the whole place such a wonderful sense of character and history. Marco and Carla were excellent hosts and made us feel so welcome, always greeting us with a smile each morning. Breakfast was included and was a real highlight, with freshly baked bread every day, delicious homemade cakes and fresh eggs from their own chickens. The property is in a peaceful, fairly remote location, which we really enjoyed, while still being only around a 15–20 minute drive from Monopoli. Alberobello, Polignano a Mare and Locorotondo are also all within easy reach, making it a great base for exploring the area. Some of our favourite moments were simply spending the mornings reading our books in the beautiful, tranquil surroundings before heading out to explore in the afternoon. There is plenty of comfortable outdoor seating and communal space throughout the property. Even though the other accommodation was fully booked during our stay, it never felt busy or crowded and everyone had plenty of room to relax without feeling on top of one another. A beautiful and peaceful place with wonderful hosts, fascinating history and a genuinely relaxing atmosphere. We would happily stay again. The only very minor points were that the shower pressure was a little low and the door scraped slightly on the floor when opening, but neither affected our stay or enjoyment of the property
