Everything matched what I expected: Richard was professional and friendly, the room was comfortable, the shower was hot, and breakfast was superb with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and a freshly cooked hot spread—great place to stay in Burnsall.

We were welcomed upon arrival, and on the hosts’ recommendation we went to the Red Lion Hotel for dinner, which was excellent with superb service; the next day’s breakfast was good, and overall it was a very enjoyable stay.

The reception was friendly and welcoming, the building was nice in the lovely town of Ilkley, but the room felt a bit outdated and was on the damp side during our autumn stay.
