“Great concept but needs investment”
I stayed for 7 nights. The staff and students led by Bao were very welcoming and helpful. I had a large private room with an ensuite bathroom and a good shower. Bao arranged car hire for me. Breakfast was filling. The whole concept of the fee‑boarding school for Thai children—growing their own food (eggs, mushrooms, salad, and catfish) and supplying local restaurants—is amazing, and it’s good to know the hostel’s profits support the school. The downside was that there was only one breakfast dish every day: two fried eggs, Thai sausages (which I don’t like), salad, toast, and seasonal fruit. There should have been more options and Thai food. I didn’t want to eat eggs every single day for a week. The facilities were basic. My private room could have had a small fridge and a microwave, especially since no food is available except breakfast. The lounge was basic and needed books, games, etc. This is the most basic hostel I’ve stayed in while traveling, yet it has a lot of potential that a small investment could easily improve. If you stay here you will need to hire a scooter or car because it’s in the middle of nowhere.
