Located on the Sierra Nevada ridge near Lake Tahoe, the Holiday Inn Club Vacations - Tahoe Ridge Resort offers free ski shuttles, a putting green, and a full-service spa. Amenities include a hot tub, indoor pool, tennis courts, billiards room, and outdoor pools. Rooms feature microwaves, refrigerators, and TVs with VCR/DVD players. The room was clean, but this place ruined the experience more than HI Club Vacations; I specifically chose a property with air conditioning, yet it had none, the summer heat made the rooms barely ventilated with only a 3" gap in the windows, and it was an uncomfortable stay because the booking site didn't verify the property.

The staff at front desk was exceptional. The location a bit out there but very pretty. Upper level (point) rooms were very nice. Our smaller room (no points) was also nice. The surrounding woods made a nice setting. My main concern was the total unpreparedness of the facility and maintenance dept to deal with a power outage. Dangerous, and clearly not meeting even the minimum requirements of elecyrical code. For example unlit long dark halways (not having back up generator lighting even at a minimum. Totally dark stairwell (Plaza Building) in which someone put green glow sticks at each landing (I almost killed myseld), no elevator (Plaza Building) requiring guests to carry luggage down 5 flights. The "milky" pool which was milky before power outage. Other issues: (1) one-cup-portion of coffee for 10 cup coffee maker. The "Market" made a good pot but not open until 8am. The Bistro had excellent food (small menu) but didn't open until noon. This place needs a small restaurant open for B/L/D. The elevators need new carpeting (gross)

The rooms are spacious with great views, and if you want a spot off the town center it’s perfect. However, the rooms were dusty and very hot; there is no AC, so it’s definitely not a summer choice because the rooms get really hot. Fans were available but not cleaned, so I couldn’t use them the first night, and they require you to wash your towels before you leave.

Everything was great – the place is very nice, full of activities, magical with the views, and I’ll definitely stay again. The only hiccup was on our second day when there was no electricity from 3‑5 am, and the weather was hot, but that’s all. Like almost everything else, I was really confident 🙏👍👌
