“Excellent find in a great location”

The room was spacious and had everything we needed, with a large, comfortable bed. The location was excellent—just a short walk from a metro stop and surrounded by a street full of restaurants. The 24‑hour reception made checking in a breeze, and payment could be made with card, cash, or Alipay. There were no English signs, which is understandable, but if you don’t read Mandarin, take a moment to note the entrance’s appearance so you can find it easily; I even sent a photo. A week before arrival I got a message demanding confirmation within 24 hours or my booking would be cancelled—an issue if you’re in an area without internet or don’t check email daily. I get that they’re trying to reduce no‑shows, but a more customer‑friendly approach would be to take a deposit for the first night and cancel the rest if the guest doesn’t show up.

The location and staff were good, and the person responded quickly and helpfully. The hotel itself isn’t particularly pretty. The window in my room was very dirty and hardly usable as a window. The facilities are okay, but not top‑tier; for the price you usually get better options elsewhere in China. The bathroom always smelled like smoke.
