The Grande Casa feels very welcoming and sits right in front of the church in the picturesque village of San Giorgio di Valpolicella. The room was spacious and clean, as was our private bathroom. Angela greeted us and gave all the useful parking and stay information, being very helpful. A short walk from the property is a beautiful panoramic terrace where you can enjoy a good aperitif while watching the sun set over the lake. Nearby you can also dine at a trattoria offering typical local dishes.

Nothing. The worst experience of our lives. The owner, ANGELA, showed a complete lack of hospitality, empathy and flexibility. We were bombarded with messages about our arrival time and endured absurd rigidity for breakfast: no flexibility at all (not even 10 minutes) for check‑in or check‑out. We had breakfast with our breath on the neck, with the owner, anxious and grumpy behind us, in a kitchen that seemed to expect us to leave. The listing on Booking is misleading: the room was advertised with a private bathroom, but it was actually in the hallway, with very noisy locks. The photos on the site suggest that the whole house would be available, but it was only a small attic room, with no TV and no bathroom. The price was definitely too high for such accommodation and such rude treatment. We literally ran away. Absolutely not recommended.
