“Funzionale e d’effetto”
The place is very beautiful and typical; special mention for the common areas, like the terrace, open 24 h. Breakfast is very abundant and traditional. Thanks to Walid, who was very kind in taking us where needed in the medina and arranging a small grab‑and‑go breakfast when we had to wake up early for tours. The space is slightly cramped: few spots to hang clothes and luggage, but still doable (problem noticed in larger groups like ours). As with any Riad, there was little airflow, which was handled with the air‑conditioners in each room. Overall, the issues are minor and tied to the “idea” of the Riad.
The breakfast was lavish and the terrace at the dining area was pleasant, and it didn’t take long to get from Blue Gate. However, the path to the entrance was narrow, making it hard for people with large luggage. The shower drain was clogged, the futon smelled moldy, the floor was dusty, and overall the cleaning seemed inadequate. Staff were almost nonexistent inside the hotel; to request anything you had to call their personal phone and wait for them to come, and the service felt far from polite.
Very good. Nothing.
“Wallid el mejor”
I absolutely loved the service from Wallid, who was the best, no doubt a 10!
“Großartige Unterkunft für Urlauber und Reisende.”
The accommodation was very central, yet inexpensive and quiet, with an incredibly loving décor and staff. We paid about 17€ per person per night, and just the breakfast overlooking Fez would have been worth at least 30€, so we’d love to return if the chance arises.
