“Warm comfortable cottage”

We were a couple with an elderly parent, and the cottage was perfect for visiting family. It felt cozy and warm in the middle of winter, had everything you could want, and included some thoughtful extras. Everything was on the same floor, which was ideal for us. We loved our stay, though the steps down from the road were a bit tricky for my Mum who uses a stick, but manageable.

“Lovely warm and delightfully furnished accommodation with all that one requires, would stay again”

We arrived at night and the lights and heaters were already on, making the place very cozy and welcoming. Access was easy, the instructions clear, and the room was very clean and tidy with all the essentials. It was great to have a nice selection of coffee and teas to choose from, although the Queen bed was very firm and uncomfortable; a mattress topper or a different mattress would help.

The cottage had a nice feel, good facilities throughout, excellent heating that was easy to operate, a lovely and big shower with good water pressure, and the agents warned us to be careful with hot water usage, which we never ran out of. The beds were comfortable and there were three TVs in all rooms. However, for a five‑night stay, the lounge seating became uncomfortable because there was no settee or couch, only two bucket‑type chairs, and the lounge dining area was very restricted, especially if four people were staying.
