The place is spot on, right at the front door of the old town, making it perfect for hiking trips. The host was incredibly friendly.

The hotel sits right on the pedestrian zone, so the market square is just a few minutes’ walk away, packed with great and quirky eateries. Thankfully, in Ahrweiler there are only a few remnants of the flood damage. Rooms are friendly and nicely furnished, and the innkeeper is very attentive. Breakfast is excellent – everything you could need is there, mostly regional. In the evening you can sip a glass or bottle of local wine on the covered terrace, which, like other cold drinks, you can grab from the “trusted fridge.” Nothing else to note 😄

Breakfast was very good, and the location was very central in Ahrweiler.
