“Schöne Anlage - der Fehler steckt im Detail”
The resort is a lovely place right on the beach, not separated by a road, so you can hear the sea at night without street noise; the decor is bright and friendly, and the staff are generally courteous and helpful when issues arise, maintaining cleanliness. The pool is fine, though the spa area was unused. It’s a twin‑hotel complex, so some walks take about 5 minutes—longer than to the beach—depending on which amenity you need, but all paths are stroller‑friendly; wheelchair access might be a bit steep, requiring an outside detour. The details were lacking: although cleanliness was usually observed, lipstick remained on the glass at the entrance on several occasions, and a quick look at the cutlery and plates often revealed the need for a quick swap with cleaner items. The kiddie pool wasn’t heated enough, so the kids got cold and developed blue lips after a few minutes. The buffet, at all meal times, was mediocre at best: there was always something acceptable, but most dishes were drowned in sauce, kept warm for long periods, and barely seasoned, so despite the wide variety, few items tasted truly good—massive quantity over quality. The best dishes were the freshly cooked ones, but even those were inconsistent; a higher staff‑to‑guest ratio would have helped, as one person had to handle eggs, omelets, pancakes, refill sauces, and run the fryer during breakfast rush while remaining friendly—an impossible task. It was also hit‑or‑miss whether a drink was brought to the table or you had to fetch it yourself; another drink always had to be ordered with the first. The high level of complaints is surprising for a 5‑star property; such details make the difference. The resort has a perfect location, is beautifully designed (the old trees are a dream), and offers a lot, but the service processes and quality standards in the food area seemed lacking.
