Alster Stay No 45 in Hamburg provides family rooms with private bathrooms, Wi‑Fi, views, work desks, TVs and toiletries. Rooms include a kitchenette with coffee machine, microwave, oven, refrigerator and dining area. Located in the centre, it is a 6‑minute walk to CCH‑Congress Center, Inner Alster Lake, and within 3 km of Miniatur Wunderland and Hamburg Fair, with ice‑skating and boating nearby.

The location was great and the apartment was large, but the room wasn’t cleaned properly—there were cleaning rags, hair, a vacuum cleaner left in the middle of the room, and a dirty sink. On top of that, no invoice was issued on site; it was supposed to be sent by email. I’ve sent emails since the 6th and received no response. Very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this place for business trips.

I was excited about the location, but the room I received was not the promised one on the fifth floor; instead, it was a somewhat rundown room on the ground floor.

The location was excellent and very central, but it was almost impossible to communicate with the hotel. It felt more like a rented room than a hotel. They didn’t reply to questions, there was no one at the “reception” and no one answered the phone when we called. We had booked two rooms. The rooms were hard to find, not the ones promised, and the standard was far below expectations. The floor rugs were damaged, walls were half‑painted, there were holes where the bedside lamps had once been, panels and window frames were dirty, wires poked out of the wall, there were no mirrors in the bathroom, and the bathroom was just a “box” placed in one corner. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place to others.

The hotel is very central and close to the opera theatre. The value for money is good, and the staff were very kind and helpful with any request. The bed was extremely comfortable and the check‑in was very simple. The bathroom wasn’t spotless.
