The place had a charming vibe, but the food didn’t justify the price and the water tasted odd.

When I got there they demanded my credit card and put a hold of $158.84 on it. At reception I was told the $58.84 was for travel insurance and the $100 would drop off from pending, yet they ended up holding $193.58 and another $193.58, still pending on my card. We never charged anything to the room we stayed in, everything was paid separately. At checkout they claimed only $58.84 would be charged, but $546.00 remains pending on my card. Not happy at all.

“It was a great relaxing visit. This was our 2nd visit and we will definitely visit again.”

The historic building, beautiful grounds, pool, and hot tub were all fantastic, and the coffee was excellent. The restaurant menu, especially dinner and room service, could have been better; a few newer, lighter options would be nice.
