The place is beautiful on the lake shore, with lovely sunset views in the evenings. The room has a large, comfortable bed. The food is tasty but expensive, and the coffee is very good. The parking is right next to the hotel, and the sea is close. I handed a paper order to a staff member, and because I don’t speak Romanian and my English is poor, I thought it would be simpler, but she seemed to think I was asking for money. Another employee came and was more pleasant. The hotel says breakfast is from 8.00 to 10.00, but when I arrived at 8.40 the staff said breakfast starts at 9.00. A menu sheet with a QR code is given, but it’s unclear what to do with it. In the bathroom there was only a third of a roll of toilet paper, so we bought more because it was easier than asking for another roll. The shower in the bathroom is uncomfortable to stand in, the toilet and bidet are low, more suitable for children. On the last day, Saturday, we saw preparations for a celebration; it turned out to be a wedding after the windows. I think the staff should have warned us and apologized for the music and noise. Since the hotel is on the lake shore, I think a mosquito net should be on the balcony door because I was swarmed by mosquitoes. The hotel has Wi‑Fi, but in our room the signal was only near the door. The apartment says “The accommodation institution has the right to choose its guests.” I think guests have the right to choose the hotel. If I ever visit Mamaja again, I definitely won’t pick this hotel.
