“Waste of money, and time.”
The location was good, but the property is advertised as **self‑catering with a kitchenette**, yet it isn’t suitable for self‑catering. The kitchenette only has a sink, fridge and hob—no oven or microwave—and you’re effectively discouraged from using the hob because the extractor fan does **not** vent outside; it vents into the ceiling right beside the smoke alarm. Worse, there’s a large notice by the entrance warning that if the fire alarm is triggered while cooking you will be fined **12,000 SEK**, so preparing anything beyond the simplest meal is a gamble that defeats the purpose of booking self‑catering accommodation. Ventilation is another major issue: there are **no opening windows**, only the front and rear doors, so if you want fresh air, especially at night, you have to leave a door open. I don’t understand the design decision, and for anyone traveling with children this is simply not a practical or safe solution. Finally, these apartments are privately owned and managed through Bella Luna Strandnära, so the quality and facilities vary significantly from one apartment to another, making the experience feel like a lottery. Overall, this stay was a complete disappointment and, in my opinion, poor value for money.
