“Загалом все було добре.”
Samenvatting van deze beoordeling
This guest house is a bit off‑center from Unawatuna. It sits directly over the road that leads from Unawatuna to Jungle Beach, so you won’t hear the noise and bustle from Unawatuna, but you also won’t have absolute silence. The road is always busy with some transport, plus all the tuk‑tuks heading to Jungle Beach pass right under your windows. The guest house has three rooms, each slightly different. We stayed in the middle room, which seemed a bit larger in area than the others. The room had a large bed, the mattress was quite comfortable, and my back didn’t hurt. There was an anti‑mosquito net over the bed. The room had a wardrobe, but we didn’t use it because it had a very strong smell of some kind of naphthalene. We opened it once and never opened it again. Things were hung on a rack that also exists in the room. The room had an air conditioner and a ceiling fan, all working well. There was a table you could sit at for meals. The kitchen was quite large, with a gas stove (tang), a fridge, and a sink. We cooked for ourselves and had enough dishes. Note: we were charged separately for refilling the gas cylinder, although no additional fees were mentioned at booking, so clarify this ahead of time as it’s an extra cost. The bathroom was fairly spacious, hot water was always available because there is a continuous water heater, and water was always on. Sound insulation was average; you would hear noisy neighbors and street sounds. It’s good that there is a yard where you can park a moped and hang laundry and towels. Walking to Unawatuna beach takes 10‑15 minutes, unhurried. Monkeys, peacocks, and alligators come straight into the yard, which we liked. The hosts were attentive; any questions were resolved quickly. The bedding and towels were quite clean. We requested fresh bedding and towels and they were changed without question. Overall, we liked everything; everything was good because we were on vacation.
