“Had been staying in hostels or dorms when I travel in many parts of India but this place was the worst. They didn’t both”

The place wasn’t clean; the bedsheets had stains and when I asked for fresh ones the caretaker claimed he’d cleaned them that morning, which felt like he didn’t want us to change them, so I still requested new sheets. We booked a non‑AC room, and while it was clean, the small sitting area next to the dorm had inmates and long‑time residents who kept smoking and playing loud music, making it hard to sleep. After moving to an AC room, the cigarette smell and music stopped, but the room wasn’t clean either; the caretaker only cleaned it superficially, leaving dust and used tissues under the bed, so I had to clean it myself. Whether day or night, music played continuously and cigarette odor lingered. We had a long, tiring journey and brought food to eat in the hostel’s small hall; we didn’t want to disturb the inmates since we arrived around 10:30 pm, but on the table where we sat and ate I found dirty socks under the table mat—extremely disgusting.

I’ve stayed there before and this was my second time; the stay was comfortable and I’d recommend it.
