The atmosphere felt like family in a charming maison tucked into a small village in the heart of Champagne. The room was comfortable with a private bathroom, the breakfast was good, and the owner Sylvie provided attentive service, plus there was a convenient internal parking spot.

At temperatures of 35° and higher, the pool was a real relief. The lounge area on the ground floor and the first floor were pleasant for sitting when the weather wasn’t great, and the decor was fresh and lively. We had one of the attic rooms, and with the high temperatures it was very hot inside. The ceiling fan did its best but wasn’t enough to give the needed comfort. With hot summers coming, investing in air‑conditioning might be a good option.
