“OK for some but not for me”

I was too exhausted from traveling to actually stay, but I had booked it anyway. Finding it was a challenge, and at check‑in no staff spoke English, so I couldn’t ask anything. The door lock was a €2 padlock and the interior door felt rough and rotting. WiFi didn’t work in my room, the bed was hard, there was no AC, and the bathroom looked like it belonged to another era—overall it was just rough. I accepted the shortcomings and moved on.

The location is close to the city center. It’s questionable whether the cleaning is done.

“Extrêmement sale et mauvais accueil.”

The terrace is pretty nice, but that’s all. The place was extremely dirty, smelling of stale air, sweat, and grime. The bed also emitted a bad odor. The bathroom was filthy with a lot of mold, hair everywhere, and grime buildup. Cleaning had apparently not been done for a long time. The walls were stained and full of holes, the curtains were torn everywhere, and there were mold patches and water‑leak marks on the ceiling. Towels and sheets were stained and smelled terrible, suggesting the linens aren’t washed between guests. The bathroom had no door or curtain, just a torn sheet as a divider, and there was no toilet paper. The reception was very strange, and the terrace atmosphere was particularly odd, more like a squat than a guesthouse.

The service, the cats, and the nature were great. The cleaning was a bit lacking.
