The quiet location and the nearby restaurant made for a nice breakfast.

The spot was great, and the old station with the vintage wagon was a lot of fun.

The location was very convenient for my travel purpose, the stay was pleasant in a quiet setting, everything was spot‑on, clean and fresh, and Els was a lovely hostess. I’ll definitely return if it fits my travel plans.

We arrived late at night because of road closures, and even though we couldn’t call ahead, the Gasthof owner rushed out to let us in as soon as we got there—she was delightful and extremely helpful. Our room, converted from an old railway station, was stunning, the bathroom was amazing (though it lacked a bidet), and breakfast felt like dining in a carriage on the Orient Express—simply grand! The Wi‑Fi, parking, and even a supply of excellent local pears to take home were appreciated, and the spot was ideal for exploring places from Leuven to Ghent, Waterloo, Namur, Mechelen, and beyond; we enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. Even if you’re picky, there’s nothing that clashes with our travel style; the term “Gasthof” may suggest a restaurant, which is partly true—if the restaurant is closed it’s unrelated to the B&B, but when it’s open it turns into a party.
