“Boa alternativa para hospedagem em Mucugê”

The lodge is simple, perfect for a place to rest and get a good night’s sleep after the hikes; the room is spacious, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is good, with daily cleaning. There was no breakfast during our New Year visit, but that wasn’t a problem because a bakery is on the same street and there are a few spots in the small center of Mucugê where you can grab coffee. Parking is on the street, but that was also fine and easy to find.

“A pior e mais desgastante experiência que tive numa pousada.”

Almost nothing was positive, and the room cost 300 reais per night, whereas other accommodations charge 70. The first thing I learned upon arrival was that the city has a pack of stray dogs that attack people; these dogs are sick, rabid, abandoned, traumatized, and prone to illness and aggression. The health and sanitation authorities were notified, but the only action taken was to issue notices to the owners. The owner is insensitive, rude, and shows no concern for guests, and there is no breakfast. With the outrageous price of 300 reais, I stayed only because all other places were full, and it was the worst experience I’ve had.
