The spot’s location and the playful hues of the building and rooms really caught my eye, especially the retro room. That rotary phone with its quirky instructions was a real laugh—never seen one like that in years!

The place is great for its spot, but the room is quite small, making it hard to move around, especially with luggage.

So cute and kitchy. Nice to be right downtown and the free rollerskates, bikes, stickers, yoyo's and ping pong/video game room was top notch. My 10 year old said it reminded her of Mexico. Colorful and fun but kinda rough. The pool and hot tub seemed old and not really maintained well. The stucco on the bottom of the pool was pokey and entrances to the pool was not very accessible and the hot tub jets were not working. But it was not the main reason we were there so not a deal breaker. Also a micowave/kettle would have been nice in the room so we could make snacks

It’s a fun place that brings back childhood nostalgia, with a kitschy ’70s‑themed room and check‑in area. I loved the fine details like the rotary phone, free yo‑yo, and comic book. The amenities—pool, hot tub, deck, ping‑pong table room—were great, and free bike rental was a plus. Walking distance to the lake and lakefront park is convenient. The exterior looked a bit rundown, and the location felt sketchy with groups of homeless people nearby. It definitely has a motel feel even though it’s labeled a hotel.

We had a fun, family‑ and pet‑friendly stay with plenty of activities for kids on site. The location was perfect for walking, and there were loads of sights, things to do, and food nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I’d have liked the ability to make coffee in the room, though they did offer coffee, a wonderful selection of teas, and hot chocolate at the front desk. I also felt that more attention should be given to the overall cleanliness of the property.
