The place was clean and had all the necessary facilities, so it felt like a good deal for the price. The staff were all courteous and helpful. Being in the center of Tainan city, most places were within walking distance. I took a bus to Anping. Breakfast was delivered to the room the next morning, either a hamburger or sandwich chosen at the time of check‑in. The portions were a bit small. I wanted a power outlet next to the pillow.

The building’s old charm was tastefully updated, and the location is great. Even though the facilities are dated, they’re clean and there were no issues. The staff were attentive and made the stay comfortable, and I appreciated having laundry available. The only downside was the lingering smell of the old plumbing.

The surroundings were clean and tidy. However, the soundproofing was terrible, the bathroom was tiny and unusable, and at night I kept hearing chairs moving and people talking. The worst part was the constant running water noise, which made it impossible to sleep until about 2 or 3 am. Spending an extra one or two hundred dollars could get you a better homestay with a higher‑quality bathroom and more space.
