“no fun”
We enjoyed the bathtub, the salts and the creams that came with it, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was included. The door lock keeps you inside and you must call reception every time you enter or leave, and they don’t speak any English so you’ll have to rely on your Japanese. They also ignore messages sent through Booking and we couldn’t swap our tiny, bland room for something more exciting that I had imagined when booking. The room was just grey, cramped, and had no quirky design; the chair was broken and pigeon droppings covered the window. Breakfast was very plain but punctual and included. Other guests seemed ashamed of staying there, covering their faces with their hands. In short, if you’re a tourist hoping for a real Japanese love‑hotel vibe with a wild room you saw on YouTube, don’t book here, especially not through Booking, because you can’t pick your room and you’ll just get a cramped old room with no Netflix.
