The reception staff were great. The beds gave us all a good night’s sleep as we were traveling from Townsville to Brisbane and just needed to rest our heads. The structure and building have aged, but again the price was within our budget. Great views from the balcony. Access to the main drag and close proximity to shops and the city. The connecting complex has a bar and bistro for meals. The building needed some work: the balcony floor panel was loose, the shower soap bar bracket was missing a screw, paint was still undercoated, and the trim and flashing on the entrance door showed poor workmanship with the paint. This place needs a passionate renovator/owner to give it sparkle again. So much potential.

“The room was great but the carpets need a deep clean.”

The room was spacious and the kitchenette was very convenient. The carpet was filthy. You could feel the dirt build up when walking on it and it would transfer to your feet so we had to wear shoes to avoid the disgusting carpet

The Race Track was within walking distance, which was why we chose to book here. No dislikes; it offered good value for the location.

“Fantastic value for money!”

Cannot beat this place for value for money! 4 adults in 3 very comfy beds, plus a breakfast pack each morning, $160 a night! That's 1990s prices! Manager who checked us in was super lovely. We barely heard a peep out of the neighbours, which is impressive considering they had a full house for a 21st staying. We were in Room 12 so a fair way from the main hotel. Not sure if that's why, but we'll take it. Would 100% stay again!. Nothing
