The hotel is a beautiful Swiss‑style retreat away from the tourist bustle by Lake Arenal. My apartment had all the comforts and was in a separate building about a three‑minute walk from the main building. The owner personally took care of everything, cooked breakfast and dinner for me, and even drove me in her car to the supermarket 10 km away. Unfortunately, the little train was out of service. The nearest restaurants and shops were about 2–3 km away. The hotel is very idyllic, but also quite lonely, and the beach at Lake Arenal doesn’t look very inviting.

Overall everything was fine, the owner is a sweetheart. No issues.

A very nice apartment, fully renovated with all new equipment. The host was excellent, attentive and very helpful. The place is very quiet with a lake view, and the parking is right next to the accommodation.
