I never even checked in, and to this day they’ve refused to refund the cancellation. The place that was advertised wasn’t even at the address shown in the photos, there was no pool on site – the pool was elsewhere, paid and by reservation – and the sheets were an extra 13.5 €/person/night, which is outrageous. Nothing matched the listing at all!

The location was fine, but I feel cheated about the parking: 15 € for a street spot and 20 € for the ZTL zone, even though it wasn’t active.

A relaxing stay, truly enjoyable. The room was new and comfortable. The welcome was friendly and helpful. The B&B was centrally located, we liked it a lot. We will definitely come back.

The area is nice. The old town is great. It was pleasant to stroll through the nearby lanes. I walked for a long time because the owner wouldn’t let me access the booked property. Instead of a straightforward answer, he sent dozens of scanned texts in Italian, which were hard to translate. The locals made odd faces when asked about CD Romanello, so I seriously doubt the place even exists. After three hours I gave up and found another accommodation (in September it’s very easy). The fact that such things are possible on a platform I’ve never let down before is unsettling.

Nothing. The price was inflated by “extra services.” I was asked to pay an additional 35,50 after confirming on the app. I had to pay for cleaning, sheets, towels, and air conditioning that shouldn’t have been in my room. All of this was billed to an IBAN that differed from the one on the app. I contacted Booking, they helped me get a better price, but it was too late. Initially they offered me a low price for a windowless room without air conditioning in a nightlife area where I would immediately hear the night noise, according to the host. I would have only had the front door for air. When I complained, they threatened that if I paid all the extras they would give me a better room. I chose to give the money to the lady and stay with my friend’s relatives (I was in Barletta for a funeral). More clarity would have helped.
