The George at Nunney, a 17th-century coaching inn, is situated in the peaceful village of Nunney, Somerset, near a 14th-century moated castle. This charming hotel features a large open fireplace, exposed beams, and a walled garden with al fresco dining. Free Wi-Fi and parking are available, and elegant rooms retain original features, including flat-screen TVs and en suite bathrooms.

Breakfast was okay, dinner okay, but it took a while to arrive. The room was fine, but the spot to hang clothes—since there was no wardrobe—was right over the coffee machine, which was not good.

Beautiful location, the hotel gives off a proper old‑world feel and look, very cozy and quiet. Could have used a shower in the room instead of a bath, purely for time and convenience.

The whole place smelled of cooking oil, they need to change it! It wasn't great, the food tasted of old oil.

The food was excellent, rooms were large and well appointed. A large step into the shower may not be suitable for all, a grab rail would assist
