Check‑in went smoothly and the hosts were very welcoming; the room had everything we needed, and overall we really enjoyed our time at the house, so I highly recommend it. The walk up to the apartments from the city center is quite steep; if you aren’t confident in your fitness, it’s better to use a car. Otherwise the route is quite nice =)

The stay was good for two days, breakfast was decent, the view over the Rhine was lovely, and the location was nice; we could park our bikes in the garage, which was convenient. However, the descent to the village is steep, so people with mobility issues should use a car.

There is a nice view over the City and the Rhein, and the Asien guys were friendly. The owner was unfriendly, access to the hotel and rooms was difficult, and there was nothing for handicapped persons. A shortcut to the entrance was blocked by the owner, so I had to carry my luggage around the house to the backdoor and endure more steps. No credit card was accepted, and I was tried to double charge me a room night. Breakfast was limited to two rolls, and no room cleaning was provided.

From the guesthouse you get a very nice view of the Rhine. Because of my wife’s health restrictions, we always book accommodations on the ground floor or with an elevator to an upper floor. The booking confirmation also stated: “Entire unit on the ground floor” and even “Unit is wheelchair accessible.” Unfortunately, neither of those statements was true! Not only was our room on the first floor only reachable via a narrow staircase, we also had to walk with luggage from the parking lot on the street to the house about 100 metres higher. The landlord blamed himself for the misinformation. It’s good that we only booked one night. The furnishings in the small room looked cheap and mismatched. A small desk and a chair were missing. The bathroom was tiny, and because of the shower partition there was very little space at the sink. We declined the limited breakfast offered for an additional 14 EURO. The view of the Rhine does not compensate for what we believe is an unreasonable price for the accommodation.
