Located a short walk from Celle's picturesque Old Town, Hotel Am Braunen Hirsch features spacious rooms and suites, free parking, and complimentary internet access. Themed rooms, renovated in 2011, honor classical composers, while some rooms include massage armchairs. A large breakfast buffet and traditional Brauner Hirsch restaurant are available, along with bicycle rentals to explore the Lüneburg Heath.

The reception was very friendly, and we got a room on the lower floor as requested. The room was spotless, the area is very quiet, and we slept wonderfully. A table was reserved for us in the breakfast room, and the breakfast selection was excellent. The hotel is 10–15 minutes from the city centre.

Parking is free at the hotel. The studio room is spacious, quiet, and clean, with an oversized, comfortable bed. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is good. The hotel description didn’t mention the missing elevator, and there are 60 stairs from the breakfast room to the room, which is quite a lot.

The hotel is centrally located and the city centre is within walking distance, yet it sits quietly on a side street. The roof‑top suite is well equipped, and from the small balcony you get a lovely view over Celle’s rooftops. However, the suite is not accessible for older people or those with mobility issues because the stairs are steep and numerous; the small chair on a landing step does little to help.
