The location is beautiful and very quiet, a real relief; the neighbor’s dogs mentioned in other reviews are now very quiet. It’s blissful to sit on the terrace after a long walk, and you get into Corte and/or Bastia very quickly. The bed was problematic, as the combination of bed and mattress collapsed completely in both directions.

The location feels like a hidden gem with a mountain view that makes you feel like the only ones in the world; the water basin is lovely and refreshing, and there are books about nearby hikes available, plus goats grazing beside the house. The only downside is the lighting in the room—bring your own bedside lamps.

The Chêne Farmhouse is an extraordinary spot, far better than the photos show; the clean, thoughtfully decorated interior uses high‑quality materials, the surroundings are meticulously maintained and stunning, and the pool is gorgeous with every detail considered. It’s a peaceful place with a magnificent view of the trees and the mountain, making it a perfect base for exploring Corsica—a true little slice of Corsican paradise. I highly recommend it.

The quiet setting is ideal for mountain outings, the pool after a hike is pleasantly refreshing, and a nice surprise was the Wi‑Fi and electric grill.
