At the front desk the owner told us she had no record of our reservation because the rooms had been closed for a while. We ended up having to look for another hotel at the last minute.

The spot is pleasant and just a short walk from the Escobo waterfall, which made the stay enjoyable. Betty, the lady who runs the place, was genuinely friendly and helpful.

Everything felt clean, from the lobby to the rooms, and the staff were warm and attentive. Being in the town itself added a nice local vibe.

Every corner feels like a little museum, full of relics and antiques that make the place charming. Not a good fit for kids, though—there’s no play area and the staff seem more focused on protecting the décor and garden, and the restaurant was closed when we arrived.
