The property is stunning, with several historic buildings beautifully restored, offering charm and tranquility in an idyllic setting. The romantic pool and ancient trees add to the allure. I was disappointed to learn that the hotel will close soon for renovations, and I hope it reopens because I’d love to visit again.

The location is gorgeous and the old part of the building is beautiful. The games room and lounge add a lovely touch. Breakfast was decent, with fresh bread and jams. Our standard double room in the guest house building felt like a university dorm in nicer surroundings – a plain, rectangular room with poor lighting and a drop‑in cubicle shower, not what you expect at this price. It’s also a 20‑minute walk from the nearest regularly‑served public transport stop; a shuttle or taxi service should be available.

The place is nice. The guesthouse room was dark, and the standard was very basic.
