Located 200 meters from the sea and Palma Cathedral, the modern Santa Clara Urban Hotel & Spa features a rooftop terrace with loungers for sunbathing and stunning views of Palma. Rooms combine stone walls with designer furniture, offering bathrobes, plasma-screen TVs with satellite channels, and iPod docks in select rooms. Free Wi-Fi and air conditioning are also available.

The location and the staff are good, and the beds are of good quality. There was no proper shower drain in the bathroom, the fridge heated up our devices in the safe, and the Wi‑Fi was not only unsecured but also unreliable.

The apartment was huge, cozy, and situated in a prime spot with restaurants, shops, and the Cathedral just a short walk away; the rooftop overlooking the Cathedral was a nice place to unwind and the beach was also nearby. The spa was tiny and we never used it, and inside the apartment the shower screen leaked onto the bathroom floor while some tapware felt a bit loose and wobbly; parking was a problem because no space is available directly in front of the hotel for loading luggage, and Uber drivers don’t pick up from the entrance, so we had to take taxis.

Everything was very good. If the rooftop bar had staff on the terrace, it would be amazing. You can order downstairs and they bring it up, but once you’re on the roof it’s not obvious and you feel a bit helpless. Still, it’s a great feeling having a cocktail or wine on the rooftop.
