The rooms were clean, spacious, and had comfortable bedding, making for a truly enjoyable stay.
The food, particularly the Rougail, was exceptional and a highlight of my visit.
The location is perfect for planning a trip to Mafate, and Jacques' insider knowledge of the area, gained from his frequent visits, proved to be incredibly valuable.
The accommodation was very pleasant and of high quality, with a stunning view of the Salazie circus and a peaceful atmosphere.

“Très bien avant de descendre dans Mafate”
Almost instant access to Col des Bœufs for heading into Mafate. The welcome was great 🫶, the table d’hôtes was very good, parking was private, and the bathroom and toilet were private. The family room works for a night before heading to Mafate, but it’s still just a room, so consider if it’s suitable for several days (especially with kids). It was fine for our use—just sleeping between hikes.

The location was superb for our hike in Mafate, just a stone’s throw from Col des Boeufs. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, and we loved the “table d’hotes”: the food was delicious and the vibe was lovely. Our room was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. If you plan to do more than hiking, the spot feels a bit remote, and we stayed in winter so it got chilly at night.
