Hotel Apollonia is centrally located in Brașov, near the Old Town, and offers rooms with free WiFi and modern furniture. Bright rooms feature flat-screen TVs and carpeted floors. A buffet breakfast is served on site. The hotel is a 15-minute stroll from Council Square and close to Tampa Mountain and the Gothic Black Church.

The location was superb and the staff were very courteous. We always found a private free parking space. The beds were comfortable. When we booked, we were offered a breakfast option for only 10 lei extra (apparently a promotion), but if you had to pay 10 euros per person, I wouldn’t recommend it. The breakfast lacked variety and was the same every day. The food was lukewarm when you served it and even colder by the time you ate. The restaurant felt cold, probably because they save energy. The rooms were a bit chilly; having AC in one room helped, but the other room was noticeably colder. There is no elevator, so be careful if you have a lot of luggage or small children. The space between floors is tight, but if you don’t have mobility issues, it’s fine to climb.
