The staff were friendly and the breakfast was surprisingly generous, plus the spot is right where you want to be. The only downsides were the mattresses – they’re nothing special – and the air‑conditioner kept rattling all night.

The crew here are genuinely attentive, the shower works fine and the sheets smelled amazing. Breakfast was basic yet satisfying, and I loved having ice‑cold water in the room. On the flip side, the shower stall felt cramped and the whole place showed its age – nothing fancy.

The staff treat you like part of the family, whipping up breakfast on the spot whenever you need it. It’s a perfect base for carnival, being close to both Olinda and the old town of Recife, and the fellow travelers I met were all really friendly.
