The staff were accommodating and friendly. The room was great. Service at the pool was great. Food and drinks were excellent. The pool and beach location were great, and the car valet service was excellent.

The hotel sits in a great spot, but the experience for our 16th wedding anniversary was a huge let‑down. We had added the Fun, Flirty & Celebration packages as a surprise for my wife, expecting them to be ready in our room upon arrival, yet nothing was there. I went to the front desk and spoke with a young lady, who only offered repeated apologies without trying to deliver the amenities or suggest another way to celebrate. I also tried to book a massage; after about four attempts she told me to use the app, again with an apology but no real help. When I returned to the desk hoping for a different staff member, I got the same response: an apology and an explanation that the packages hadn’t been added. It was frustrating not only because the packages were missing, but because the staff made no effort to fix the issue once they knew what had happened. This was the first time in 16 years of marriage that my wife and I could travel together without our children—four daughters aged 15, 12, 5, and 6 months—so we had planned carefully to make this anniversary getaway possible. My wife truly loves this hotel and keeps coming back whenever she can.

The hotel and its pool area are great, but the corner room with a sea view we paid to upgrade to was too close to the PCH intersection, making it noisy. I expected better soundproofing.
