Lake View Hostel

I had a bit of trouble getting to the hostel because it was quite late, my phone died and I had to improvise, but I was very warmly welcomed and well taken care of. I settled in; the room I stayed in had a lot of people, but everyone respected the nighttime silence and I slept very well. The only questionable thing was the cleanliness, but the hostel staff did their best; the girl cleaned everything every day. The room had a foot odor, but it was a room for exhausted hikers, so I have nothing to complain about. Those were wonderful days with amazing friendships and surreal experiences. Guatapé is a city that will stay in my heart. I highly recommend the "hotel lake view".

I really enjoyed my one‑night stay at Lake View Hostel. The hostel sits a little away from Guatapé’s center, which I liked because it’s quieter, and being right by the water is a big plus. Renting a stand‑up paddleboard there was probably the cheapest option in town, which I appreciated as a great way to enjoy the lake. One of my favorite parts was the communal area upstairs, especially the small balcony—a peaceful spot where I could sit and work. The hostel stayed quiet throughout my stay and didn’t foster much social interaction, so it might not be the best choice if you’re looking to meet many other travelers, but it’s a solid option if you prefer a more relaxed vibe. The guy at reception was very helpful and answered all my questions. Overall, I felt the hostel offered good value for the price, I really enjoyed my stay, and I’d happily return.

“Muy acogedor”

The location is very good, away from the noise of the town center in front of the lake. Special mention goes to the hostel staff. Both Diego, his morning colleague, and his cousin treated us very kindly—better than any other stay in the country.
