The property, over 150 years old and perched on a hill about a kilometre behind the town of Novilara, is run as an agritourism farm by very friendly and helpful owners who speak English. They recommended local spots worth visiting and where to eat. Italian sweet breakfasts with local preserves are served in the garden under an old tree, and they’ll stay in my memory forever. Despite its age, the estate is well maintained and clean, and you can feel the owners’ love and hard work that lets you experience the true soul of the Marche region. To get to Novilara, the best option for two people is to rent a 125cc scooter or a car, which is worth booking early in season. This allows you to visit all the interesting places and events around the area that happen in summer, and to quickly head to the Adriatic for a dip. The trip is worth the effort if you, like me, are looking for an authentic Italian vibe and peace, so I definitely recommend staying here for at least a couple of nights. The visit took place during a very hot period, and it was a pity the air conditioning wasn’t working. A fan saved the situation.

The total immersion in nature thanks to the location and the care of the spaces and guests makes this a truly authentic place. The managers are excellent in every way.

I was convinced I had booked two rooms, each with an en‑suite bathroom, but I found two rooms with only one external bathroom shared by both. To access the bathroom I had to go through a common area that was frequented by other guests. The cleanliness was unsatisfactory. If the rooms hadn’t already been paid for, I would have definitely looked for another accommodation.

The location, tranquility and relaxation were great. The bathroom was small and located outside the room.
