“Perfect place to spend a couple of days at Garda”

Garda is full of old spots that cost a lot…but Lotus Garda is a real exception! I had a lovely stay in a clean, comfy room at a reasonable price, and they made us feel at home. I’d definitely come back :)

The property is very well maintained, from the building and rooms to the surrounding grounds. There’s private parking on site, and the ground‑floor room also has a large terrace. The area is quiet and peaceful. The rooms are only locked with a code. Despite being told the rooms would be cleaned every three days, they were cleaned daily without any notice, which was a bit annoying; we’d have preferred to know when someone enters the room while we’re away. Breakfast was tasty but quite modest: aside from bread, the dry items were cold. One roll and a few extras were provided for one person, plus coffee and a drink.

I paid the owner in cash—he’s an elderly man—then after I left, the amount was withdrawn from my card by Booking. I contacted the owner, who denied it, claiming we had a disagreement over some minor things and refused to refund me. I don’t recommend this place to Arabs or Muslims. One last point: I forgot my prayer rug, he sent me a message saying “your rug will be erased soon.” I attached proof of my claim.
